The Centennial Celebration of the ATA National Championships took the event back to its origin in  Baltimore, MD. PCCTA along with a couple of other tennis organizations and individuals, sponsored 15 junior players from the west coast to play in the tournament. In addition, we took them to a full day field trip to Washington DC.

In 2018 it was held at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida. The PCCTA stepped out on our own embarking on a mission to sponsor some of our young future stars from the west coast to compete in this prestigious and epic event. We chose 17 kids ranging in age from 9 - 18 years old giving them the opportunity  to compete against the best of the best from across the nation and the Caribbean.

We also took them on field trips to Eatonville, FL (the first African American township established in the United States. Founded 1887), the Kennedy Space Center and to Disneyworld combining education and fun before the tournament began.

Both years we had high school seniors in our group that were recruited by college tennis coaches and offered scholarships!
