Team Tennis Rules

---

• Teams consist of 8 Players (4 Men, 4 Women)
• Combinations on the court may not exceed Combo Skill Level for your Bracket

            Team receives 1 Point for each Game won.

• Points are accumulated from all matches played to determine overall winners
• Some Brackets may require a Final/Playoff Match
• 3 minute warm up
• Teams “Spin” for Serve before each Individual Match
• Service Lets must be Played. Net player can play a Service Let. If a player says "Let" the opponent is awarded the point.
• Each match will include:
• **1st Round: Singles: 1 each – Men’s, Women’s
• **2nd Round: Gender Doubles - 1 each, Men's, Women's
• **3rd Round: Mixed Doubles: 2 Teams
• 8 Games Total played per set, No Ad Scoring

• **In case of a deuce game the receiving team decides which side to receive on, either the deuce or ad side. Mixed = gender to gender.
• Change Ends after 4 games
• Substitution allowed on EVEN numbered games,
• **Serving order must be maintained and  must replace on the same side in doubles. i.e. if you are subbing in for a player on the deuce side you must go in on the deuce side.
• **Any Player Subbed-Out during an individual match cannot be subbed back in
• Coaching allowed

• All Team Members must play Each Match
• Each Player must start at least 1 individual match during each Team Match Up
• **e.g., Each Player must start in either M/W S, M/W  DBLS or MXD

LINE CALLS

• Only Players in the Individual Match can make line calls, only on their side of the net
• **2 or more disputed calls - each team selects lines person
• **2 or more disagreements between the lines persons - request Lines Judge from Tournament Desk
• **PENALTIES - Lines Judge may deduct points for UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT

UNDERSTATED RATING DISPUTES

• Register a "Challenge" at the end of the Individual Match in question
• Our USTA Officials (NOT PROFESSIONAL RATERS) will observe Player in question
• If that Player's skill level is determined to be CLEARLY understated, the point(s) earned in the disputed match will be awarded to the opponent
• PENALTIES - Officials may deduct points for UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT.
